Traditional Houses

About the house     Daesannu is a T-shaped two story pavilion, which is rarely seen in the traditional Korean house. The building is located at Usan-ri, Oeseo-myeon, Sangju-city, Gyeongsangbuk-do province. Daesannu was used as a Separate Building (Byeol-dang) for studying. Originally it was a simple single story building with 4 bays, which was added at a right angle by a two story pavilion later. Consequently, it has rarely dynamic spaces.
