About the architecture     Namgan-jeongsa is located at Gayang-dong, Dong-gu, Daejeon city. The building was built in 1683 by Song Siyeol  who was a famous political leader and confucian scholar. At this place, U-am, Song's penname, developed his scholarly world and educated many pupils. A big pond is in front of the building. The water from the rear valley flows underneath the building into the pond, which characterizes the landscape of the area. In 1997, the U-am Historic Garden was made including the Namgan-jeongsa area.
