Traditional Settlements 

Hong-cun is located at the northwest of Yi-xian town, Anhui province. It dates back to Bei-Song Dynasty, so it has nearly one thousand year history. Originally, it was a clan village of Wang family. Hong-cun is the location for the famous Chinese film "Wo Hu Cang Long (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon)", 2000, directed by Lee Ang and starring Chow Yun Fat. In the 73rd Academy Awards, the film has won Best Foreign Film, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, and Best Art/Set Direction.
