 Traditional Settlements 

 

About the settlement      Yangdong is a representative traditional Korean settlement, which is located at Yangdong-ri, Gangdong-myeon, Gyeongju-city, Gyeongsangbuk-do  province. The settlement is a clan village where the two families of 'Son from Walseong' and 'Lee from Yeogang' has resided. In this settlement, there are many large houses where the upper-class families resided. Such upper-class houses have the composition of the courtyard house.  Many of such houses are designated as the Cultural Properties of Korea.
