About the settlement   Seongeup  is a Eupseong, a walled administrative town, which is located at Seongeup 1-ri, Pyoseon-myeon, Nam-Jeju-gun, Jeju-do. Seongeup is walled by a 4m-high rampart which was constructed in 1423. The rampart has three gates which anchor main T-shape street. The typical house basically consists of two buildings which face each other. The two buildings are occupied respectively by pararents generation and children generation.
